A bit about myself, and this blog.

Hi, my name is James O'Connell and I am a 3rd year student in Technology University Dublin, Blanchardstown. I am studying horticulture, a subject which I am passionate about as well as my love of nature and the environment.

One of my modules for this semester is Project Management, and part of the learning outcomes is to write a blog discussing the various steps and stages involved with the processes of project management.

While not immediately obvious, the role of project management very much influences a lot of what we do in horticulture, and the natural world around us. For the processes involved in project management helps us to devise the plans and ideas that go into our landscapes, gardens, greenspaces and the world around us on a large and small scale.

My aim with this blog is to bring to light all that goes into project management and promote some learning into its processes...for horticulture is essentially made up of many projects big and small, many projects that require experienced management!
